JER Envirotech International Corp.

JER Envirotech ("JER") is focused on preferable alternatives to the pure wood and plastic products industry. The company is commercializing breakthrough patent-protected technology in various wood-plastic composites (WPC) markets. The company has developed a panel board (also known as wallboard) for the construction industry, a substrate product that can be used with countertops and flooring, a decking product and a raw material compound for injection molding and extrusion applications.

JER was started in 1997 and initially focused on simple and reliable techniques in wood finishing, plastics, steel, aluminium, fibreglass and other substrate finishings. JER joined with the National Research Council of Canada and the Industrial Materials Institute to co-develop a suitable recycling technology for wood and plastic wastes and the manufacture of more advanced composite compounds and products. The joint research resulted in the development of a variety of high performance wood thermoplastic composite compounds.

JER's existing expertise in coatings and finishings is still an important asset, both for adding value to JER's current family of WPC products and for continuing to provide consulting services in coatings, finishings and new compounding processes.
