Canada - September 15, 2005 - Carmanah Technologies Corporation
is proud to announce its receipt of the Global 100 Eco-Tech Award,
a high-profile international environmental honour, at the 2005 World

“This

lighting products such as illuminated signs, pedestrian beacons,
marine and aviation lights, and solar-powered illuminated bus stops,”
said Carmanah’s CEO Art Aylesworth
Globally, lighting

250,000 energy-saving LED lighting products installed in 110 countries,
Carmanah Technologies is helping to significantly reduce lighting’s
environmental footprint.
Carmanah will
use the cash prize of one million yen (C$10,700) to initiate a scholarship
at the University of Victoria.
The world exposition,
the first of the 21st century, is being held until September 25
in Aichi, Japan. The event’s theme is “Nature’s
Wisdom,” focusing on the environment and sustainable technology.
The Global 100
Eco-Tech Awards, sponsored by the Japan Association for the 2005
World Exposition is one of two official awards at Expo 2005. The
